Draft Explosives Bill, 2024 UPSC

The government in a recent report states that it is initiating work on the Explosives Bill of 2024 which at the completion stage will replace the 1884 Explosives Act. The Department of Promotion and Industry Internal Trade (DPIIT) is the entity that has proposed amendments in the law to increase the penalty for violations of laws and standardise licensing processes.
